Third Dresden

Third Dresden, a photo by seahorsequilts on Flickr.

Design wall came crumpling down from the wall, so I lost a little bit of work. I tried just taping it to the wall, but clearly that's not going to work. More nail holes in the wall... The pink and orange floral is by Dena Designs and matches the bedding the mother chose for her soon-to-arrive little girl. Happy find! Hopefully I can finish this before the shower. I wish I would've done five sets of four fabrics in the dresdens rather than four of five. I tend to dislike even combos, but this way makes little crosses, which is sort of a nice bit of blessing to add to a baby quilt. Let's just pretend that was my plan all along. I really got overwhelmed with how many ways dresdens could be done - scrappy, all solids, every flower same, only some different, some big, some little... Which probably means more dresdens in my future. Have to exhaust the possibilities! :-)

  1. I love dresdens! The fabrics you are using are so sweet! Perfect for a little girl! Can't wait to see it come together.
