here’s my niece’s quilt progress. the back is on the design wall, the front is folded across the top of the chair there. I’m going to take a break to go overeat with some friends and pretend I’m interested in football. and drink some wine. (I don’t have to pretend to like the wine!!!) :-) no turkey for me, though. first Thanksgiving with friends since going vegan – so hope no one makes a big deal about it. whatever happens – I’m truly thankful to have friends who include me and my daughter in their holiday traditions.
This time of year I really miss my mother, who is gone, and my family in California, who are just too far away for me to meet for dinner. I’m especially thankful for my sister and my niece, my daughter and my puppies. and maybe the cat. she keeps the big dog entertained.
I’m thankful for my stepdad and his girlfriend and my dad and stepmom and cousins who make sure to keep me in the family loop through sweet emails and lovely holiday cards. Oh how I wish I had more time and money to be able to spend every holiday in their company.
I’m thankful for a warm home for me and my daughter and all those furry kids and a job that helps pay the rent – and an office where I have some real good friends that make me laugh almost every day.
and I’m thankful for the online quilting support that we are all able to share with each other. The quilt world really is full of so many nice people! I hope you have a lot to be thankful for!!!
