one almost Spring-like beautiful morning and then snow, snow.
fabric delivery: Kokka Scaredy Cat in Mustard from fabricworm and from Pink Chalk Fabrics - Denyse Schmidt Vine & Leaf Lilac (Shelburne Falls), Field Study Spotted in the Crowd (Victoria) and my first bit of Liberty of London (!) Tana Lawn (Amy Jane). I kind of like how they look together, though no plans for any of them at this point. felt bad one day, ordered fabric. You know how that goes.
I finished 36 of my Scrappy Trip Along blocks for a 6 by 6 layout. not really sure what the final layout will be, but now that I have all my quilt blocks, I can play around with the design wall. I think I'm just not enjoying the scrappy trip as much as everyone else seemed to, but this will make a nice quilt for the couch. I won't have to overly worry about dog hair or spills, and I didn't have to buy fabric for it. I really need to use up more of the fabric I have on hand and stop buying more stash than I have room for. I just keep getting tempted... right now I'm stalking
Alicia Paulson's shop waiting to buy a bunny kit.
and making my dog pose in my blog pics. :-)
That was a wild postal delivery! I know you'll do something very fun with them. And the snow! I have to drive north tomorrow, please see what you can do about some warmer temps & melting -- not so fond of the cold anymore. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice trip along... I am also stalking the bunny kit!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in your trip along!
ReplyDeleteI like you scrappy trip. I'm not adoring them like everyone else either. Just happy to use up my stash and know there is a quilt the kids can drag all over without me worrying so much.
