a bone-chilling wind, but some wonderful sunshine and a quilt idea that’s been percolating for some time made me take the plunge and cut into my precious Liberty of London fabrics.  I’ve been collecting and hording for about 18 months now, and I know I got some from Purl Soho, but most have come from Alice Caroline Supply on etsy, and a few from Pink Chalk Fabrics.

Madison’s Bowtie

Madison's Bowtie 089Madison's Bowtie 054Madison's Bowtie 062Madison's Bowtie 005Madison's Bowtie 083Finally finished my niece’s “indigo and violet” quilt, which was started in 2012.  The quilting was inspired by Angela Walters “Free-Motion Quilting” book.  It took forever but the texture is delicious.  Of course, a quilt finish means there’s room for a new project.  I think there’s a sew-along for this, but I have no idea how long it will take for me to finish, so I’m just going solo.  Awesome Red Pepper Quilts tutorial here.
